Issue

  • An external FPolicy server intermittently fails to access the hidden privileged share \\10.x.x.x\ontap_admin$ on a specific SVM.
  • Attempts to connect to the share fail with NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME.

  • ONTAP sktraces show a return code similar to rt=311, which maps to a share-not-found result during privileged-share evaluation.

  • The same privileged user and FPolicy configuration may work correctly on another SVM in the same cluster.
