Issue

  • The CIFS share becomes inaccessible after enabling SMB signing for incoming SMB traffic with the following command:
::> vserver cifs security modify -vserver <svm> -is-signing-required true
  • The CIFS share becomes inaccessible after enforcing SMB signing from the client (for example via GPO)
  • A client would get access denied error in accessing CIFS share
