Description

  • This resolution guide provides guidance on troubleshooting CIFS access issues related to Authentication.  During authentication ONTAP must fully authenticate a Windows (NT) user and  map them to a Unix user before any access attempt can be made.
  • A commonly observed symptom of an issue in this context is a client-side error like Access Denied
