  • Disk / Shelf firmware upgrade

Answer

No. The disk or shelf firmware will not be updated after an ONTAP reboot or upgrade when auto-update is disabled by the operator.

Additional Information

  • It is expected behavior that the ha.bdfu.Enable event will be raised after a takeover or giveback, which can be confusing.
  • However, this does not mean that auto-update gets re-enabled without user intervention.
