A data port went down after the ONTAP upgrade

Issue

  • After performing the ONTAP upgrade, one or more ports on the CX5 network card do not automatically come back online, while all other ports do.
  • This is observed even though:
    • No hardware or switch errors (CRC, physical faults) are present.
    • The issue might occur across multiple clusters.
