CONTAP-92595: Downloaded ONTAP image could get deleted after making a REST call to /api/cluster/software/download or after running 'cluster image package get'

Issue

  • While an ONTAP node which is storing a downloaded image is offline, image files could get deleted when:
  • Making a REST API call to /api/cluster/software/download OR
  • running [cluster image package get] command
  • When the offline node comes back up, downloaded image files could be missing
  • This issue could happen while ANDU is in progress and a node is rebooting as part of upgrade.
  • If image is deleted while ANDU is taking place, the upgrade will fail in the post-update checks.
