Issue

During an automated nondisruptive upgrade (ANDU) on a two-node MetroCluster configuration, the update may pause with the message “Switchback timed out.” This can occur when a firmware update during the node reboot delays the partner cluster from becoming available before the switchback wait period expires. The actual switchback is not initiated until the partner cluster is up.
