Issue

  • Abnormal behavior seen when copying files via an SMB client in Windows particularly files larger than a few KB we seeing a noticeable pause between each file during file transfer.
  • For example, when copying four ISO files (each around 650MB) at roughly 12MB/s, the actual transfer time for each file is reasonable. However, after each file completes, there’s a delay of several minutes before the next one begins. The overall copy process ends up taking significantly longer than expected.
