ONTAP Disk utilization and latency - Resolution Guide

  • This article covers troubleshooting high disk utilization or latency in ONTAP.

  • Using Active IQ Unified Manager or qos statistics volume latency show, latency is shown to be in the Disk or Aggregate Processing (Active IQ Unified Manager), and latency is actively impacted on the target volume.
  • Performance capacity reported by AIQUM or ONTAP 9 is beyond critical threshold for the affected aggregate.
