Answer

  • DP is based on BRE [Block Replication Engine] and the XDP uses LRSE [Logical Replication with Storage Efficiency].
  • Technically both are 2 different engines, BRE is older Engine which uses block level whereas the LRSE is most advanced replication which is File based which makes it consume more CPU
