Description

  • This article describes how to identify if traffic is indirect i/o.
  • Indirect i/o refers to the data LIF that users access being on a seperate node as the node with the disks the volume resides on.
  • This means the traffic must go through the Cluster Interconnect LIFs to be processed.
  • This can be important as it can cause performance degredations for some workloads, and is not supported for Cloud Volumes ONTAP.
