Issue

  • Slowness in writing the data to the files.
  • EMS logs show:

wafl_exempt08:wafl.vol.runningOutOfInodes:debug]: The file system on "VolumeArchive__xx14@vserver:546362dd-xxxx-11ee-xxxxx-xxxxeaa6676c" is using 80percent or more of the files in public inode space that can be contained on thevolume.
wafl_exempt00: ems.engine.suppressed:debug]: Event'wafl.vol.outOfInodes' suppressed 118971 times in last 1801 seconds.
wafl_exempt00: wafl.vol.outOfInodes:debug]: file system onVolume Archive__xx13@vserver:546362dd-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-d039eaa6676c is out ofinodes because it has reached the maximum number of files

  • The inode count shows:
