lvm error: lvscan shows inactive volume

Issue

  • FlexClone LUN is online and in a mapped state.

  • From the host end, all paths are seen properly.

  • Get the following error when trying to activate it.

[root@backup5 ~]# vgchange -a y extdbvg01
  0 logical volume(s) in volume group "extdbvg01" now active
