Why Wafl.vol.full alerts appear even if the volume is bigger than the LUN?

Answer

  • Volume size needs to be bigger then LUN size, for metadata and snapshot space allocation.
  • The Volume extra space needed varied from installation to installation.
  • Start with Volume size of 3% larger than the LUN size.
  • Continue to increase the volume size as long as the Wafl.vol.full alert apear.
