Applies to

  • ONTAP 9
  • Multi-Admin Verification (MAV)
  • Multi-Admin Approval (MAA)

Answer

  • There is no difference between Multi-Admin Verification (MAV) and Multi-Admin Approval (MAA), they are the same thing
  • Those are simply 2 abbreviations to the same ONTAP feature;
    • MAA\MAV feature is used to ensure that certain operations, such as deleting volumes or snapshots, can be executed only after approvals from designated administrators, and with this avoid mistakes on improtent operations as 2 admin needs to approve it.
