Volume space not reclaimed after user data deletion

Issue

  • User deleted all data from the volume using Network File System (NFS), but the volume size and used space did not decrease.
  • Quota reports showed less used space than actual.
  • Volume was nearly full, resulting in no space errors and blocking new writes.
