Issue

  • SnapMirror update or resync fail with an error:

[dest-clust-01: sm_logger_main: smc.snapmir.update.fail:error]: Snapmirror update from source volume 'SVM:src_vol1' to destination volume 'SVMDR:dest_vol1' failed with error 'No common Snapshot copy found between SVM:src_vol1 and SVMDR:dest_vol1.'. Relationship UUID '<ID>'.

[dest-clust-01: sm_logger_main: smc.snapmir.resync.fail:error]: Resync from source volume 'SVM:src_vol1' to destination volume 'SVMDR:dest_vol1' failed with error 'No common Snapshot copy found between SVM:src_vol1 and SVMDR:dest_vol1.'. Relationship UUID '<ID>'.

  • The affected relationship may report high lag time, in some cases even 800+ hours
