Issue

Windows File Explorer is unable to display the owner of a folder

  1. Right-click the folder
  2. Click the Security tab
  3. Click Edit
    1. File Explorer may display You do not have permission to view or edIt this object's permission settings
  4. Click Advanced
  5. The Advanced Security Settings for Systems window opens, and says:
    • Owner: Unable to display current owner.
