OTV 10 fails to mount NFS datastore

Issue

  • When attempting to create a new NFS datastore through the OTV Create Datastore wizard, the datastore creation fails with the following error:

An error occurred during host configuration: . Operation failed, diagnostics report: Mount failed: Unable to complete Sysinfo operation. Please see the VMkernel log file for more details.: The NFS server denied the mount request: VSI node (5001:)

  • The error may repeat multiple times until the datastore creation fully fails.
