When NFS mount fails, EMS says Nblade_exportAccessIndeterm_1, because SVM cannot reach DNS

Issue

  • ESXI tries to mount NFS datastore and times out with error:
    • An error occurred during host configuration: . Operation failed, diagnostics report: Mount failed: Unable to complete Sysinfo operation. Please see the VMkernel log file for more details.: Unable to connect to NFS server
  • EMS contains
    • Tue Oct 03 10:18:20 -0400 [node-11: kernel: Nblade_exportAccessIndeterm_1:debug]: params: {'msid': '2155204561', 'vserverId': '6', 'clientAddr': '10.176.17.8', 'rulesetID': '25769803780'}
    • Tue Oct 03 00:38:35 -0400 [node-05: secd: secd.dns.server.timed.out:debug]: DNS server 10.4.0.30 did not respond to vserver = SVM_name within timeout interval.
  • SECD contains
    • Failed to connect to 10.176.4.16 for DNS via Source Address 10.176.27.122: Operation timed out
