Failed to modify the aggregate since it contains non-encrypted volumes

Issue

While attempting to enable NAE, the following error is observed:
 
Error: command failed: Failed to modify the aggregate "aggr1" since it contains non-encrypted volumes. Run the "volume
show -encrypt false" command to get the list of non-encrypted volumes. Convert all of them to NVE (NetApp Volume Encryption)
volumes and try again later.
 
However, running the command provided in the error shows no volumes that are plain text
 
::> vol show -aggregate aggr1 -encrypt false
