Duplicate aggregate after moving disk shelf

Last Updated:

Applies to

  • Ontap 9
  • Moving disk shelf

  • An aggregate is moved from one HA-pair in the cluster to another HA-pair by
    1) Setting aggregate offline and unown disks
    2) Pysically moving disk shelf or recabling the disk shelf
    3) Assign disks to the different system and set aggregate online
  • After this, the original owner of the aggregate still shows the aggregate on node level
