  • No, the speed of encryption on any server is influenced by factors such as RAM, CPU, and various other elements, making it impossible to directly compare the encryption speeds of different clusters or models.
  • Encryption (NVE & NAE) and snapshots are software services that rely on the specific version of ONTAP. Consequently, their performance is contingent upon the software, and the underlying hardware is unlikely to have a significant impact.
