  • BIOS firmware is bundled in the ONTAP image, no manual firmware update required
  • If existing firmware is older, these components will be updated during ONTAP upgrades:
  • BIOS
  • Flash Cache
  • Service Processor (SP / BMC)
  • Disks
  • Disk shelves
