Issue

  • The occurrence of "disk.stalledTooLong: I/O for disk"  in EMS events.
  • These events are being logged only from one node
  • The events started occurring after upgrading ONTAP.
  • From Logs you can see following events:

    Thu Oct 19 12:37:03 0200 [Cluster123: disk_timer: disk.stalledTooLong:error]: I/O for disk Ov.1x.xxxx has been suspended 1 time for 116 seconds.
    Thu Oct 19 12:37:13 0200 [Cluster123: disk_timer: disk.stalledTooLong:error]: I/O for disk Ov.1x.xxxx has been suspended 1 time for 126 seconds.

    Thu Oct 19 12:37:23 0200 [Cluster123: disk_timer: disk.stalledTooLong:error]: I/O for disk Ov.1x.xxxx has been suspended 1 time for 136 seconds.
