Issue

  • Cluster switch is showing as IP not reachable

  • Trying to ping the switch shows dropped packets

Pinging x.x.x.x with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

  • Unable to SSH to the switch.
  • Management ports are reported offline.
  • Power cycling the switch does not restore connectivity.
  • Moving the cable connected to the management switch to a different port allows the cluster switch to be pinged.
