Automated NDU Paused on Node: Takeover Failed

Issue

  • During an ANDU the operation pauses on a node for the reason of unable to perform takeover:
    • EMS LOGS:

Fri May 05 12:31:24 +0000 [Netapp-02: upgrademgr: upgrademgr.update.pausedErr:error]: The automated update of the cluster has been paused due to the following reason:  Node "Netapp-01": Error: {Takeover failed.}, Action: {Use the "storage failover takeover -ofnode Netapp-02" command to trigger the takeover of the node "Site3FNNAS1-02".}.

  • Eventually the ANDU will fail or stay in paused state until fixed or aborted
