Issue

During an automated nondisruptive upgrade on certain platforms, a pre-update validation failure can display the following message without explaining the cause:
Validation check failed to execute properly. Reason: .
The missing reason makes troubleshooting more difficult because the administrator must review node logs to identify the underlying validation error.
