Issue

  • ONTAP AutoSupports currently tracks when NTPD starts and stops via EMS logging and tracks messages such as spm.ntpd.process.exit, but EMS does not track degradation in  communications from ONTAP to NTP servers.
  • This is an enhancement request to add verbose logging to EMS to help find degradation issues in NTP server connections.
  • Use the following workaround to troubleshoot NTP currently in ONTAP.
