CONTAP-429376: Rebalance Placement statistics may be inaccurate if volume move is in progress

Issue

  • If a volume move is in progress while the space rebalancer runs, the result may be inaccurate
  • This may lead to un-wanted automatic volume moves being triggered automatically by balancing placement:
    Thu Dec 11 2025 +0000 [cluster1-01: mgwd: aps.aggr.full.automatic:notice]: The flexaggr "dataFA_4_p0_i1" will run out of space over the next space exhaustion window of "14 days". The volumes will be automatically moved from the flexaggr to free up space. "Volume vol1 will be moved to flexaggr dataFA_2_p0_i1".
