CONTAP-415910: Unable to log in to AIQ System Manager

Issue

  • Active-IQ System Manger, Unified Manager or third-party tools utilizing REST-API may not work as expected after encountering HTTPS error 502 when communicating with an ONTAP node via REST
  • The error displayed can vary and is just a symptom of REST API errors, for example:
    MetroCluster IP intersite connectivity status is down

  • MGWD log might contain error:
    [kern_mgwd:info:3650] sqlite exec message: disk I/O error
  • EMS did log the following events before or around the problem time:
    mgwd: kern.vm.mmap.return:notice]: mmap(2) by mgwd (pid 3352) for size 6656000 failed: VMEM limit exceeded, limit 4294967296, error 12
