All member ports shows down in Multimode LACP ifgrp

Issue

  • All the ports in the multimode LACP interface group are down.

::> ifgrp show -ins

   Port Participation: none
        Network Ports: e2a, e2b, e2c, e2d

  • Member port is physically up but ifgrp show the output displays it as down.
  • In some cases, the port may operate at a degraded speed when it is part of the ifgroup.

Example: Port e0c is operating with 1GB speed instead of 10G

slot 0: 1/10 Gigabit Ethernet Controller IX4-T
e0c MAC Address: 00:a0:98:f4:a3:74 (auto-1000t-fd-up)
e0d MAC Address: 00:a0:98:f4:a3:75 (auto-unknown-fd-down)

  • No issues with the cabling.
  • SystemID and Key value sent in LACPDUs of all ifgrp ports in ifconfig -v output is same.
