CONTAP-158011: ONTAP system panics in setSpinNpVersion() while freeing an object

Issue

  • ONTAP system running out of memory in the Cluster Session Manager (CSM) module causes the system to enter an error path that has a memory double free bug.

  • From the coredump, seeing "error 12" in the CSM traces indicates memory exhaustion
    (kgdb-amd64-9.1-209) csm_ring_buffer

  • CVO systems may panic with the message "privileged instruction fault" in setSpinNpVersion().
