CONTAP-95735: Newly created or junctioned volume is not accessible from NAS protocols

Issue

  • A newly created volume is not visible or cannot be mounted from a CIFS or NFS client.
  • The SVM has Load-sharing mirror LSM configured for the SVM root volume.
  • Windows clients may raise errors:
  • "Windows reports error code 0x80070043 network name cannot be found"
  • "You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions."
  • The event log shows the error
    Nblade.cifsShrConnectFailed: Vserver name: svm1, Vserver ID: 1, error description: No such object, error code: 2, share name: share1, Windows user name: domain\user, UNIX user name: user, server IP address: 10.1.2.3, client IP address: 10.1.2.4
