ONTAP Version mismatch error during MetroCluster Fibre Channel to IP transition

Issue

When trying to create DR group the following error message occurs
ClusterFC1::*> metrocluster configuration-settings dr-group create -partner-cluster ClusterIP1 -local-node nodeIP2 -remote-node nodeIP1 -remote-node nodeFC1
 
Error: command failed: Unable to perform the MetroCluster operation because of a Data ONTAP version mismatch. All nodes in a MetroCluster configuration must have the same
       version for both the current and default images. Upgrade or revert nodes as needed, then try the command again.
