High number of TX discards on all switch side node ports in MetroCluster IP

Issue

  • During a planned stress test in one of the DR groups, high number of TX discards are reported on MetroCluster switch ports for the other DR group
  • Nodes in the DR group where the test is made report TX pause frames and no_buffer discards  due to high amount of traffic being received (ifstat output)
  • Cisco event logs showing buffer exhaustion messages - show logging log
