Issue

  • Brocade 6510 FabOS  firmware upgrade stuck:
admin> firmwareshow
WARNING: Firmwaredownload is in progress.
 
Firmware download failed - Firmware download timed out. (0x23)
Firmwarecommit has started on the local CP. Please use firmwaredownloadstatus and firmwareshow to see the firmware status.
Firmware commit operation has started to restore the secondary partition.
  • Upon reboot of the affected switch we see following messages on the bootup log:
HAM: HAM:ham_notify:Firmware download failed.
Firmware commit operation has started to restore the secondary partition.
