Issue

  • repl.src.snaps.check.failed error event occurs on SnapMirror source node:
repl.src.snaps.check.failed:error]: SnapMirror operation failed because the reference and/or the transfer Snapshot copies on the source volume are either 
a) from a release prior to Data ONTAP 8.2 
b) captured in a nonclustered format 
c) not upgraded to dual inode space. 
These Snapshot copies cannot be used for logical transfer.
  • snapmirror show -destination-path command indicates the error details of  Last Transfer Error:

Last Transfer Error: Failed to start transfer for Snapshot copy "xxxxxx_2019-06-27_02". (Failed to start transfer. (Snapshot instanceUuid=4518c9fb-4ede-11e9-8995-xxxxxxxxxxxx versionUuid=4518c9fb-4ede-11e9-8995-xxxxxxxxxxxx logicalSnapId=24 is a pre-8.2 Snapshot copy on volume "Vserver UUID:srcVOL". Using a pre-8.2 Snapshot copy is not supported by this operation.))
