Issue

  • One or several SnapMirror relationships encounter the following error:

Last Transfer Error: Failed to get information for source volume <volumename> for setup of transfer. (CSM: Operation referred to a non-existent session.)

Transfer failed.(Replication operation request failed from Cluster Id: xxx, Node Id: xxx to Cluster Id: xxx, Node Id: xxx due to a network error(CSM: Operation referred to a non-existent session.))

  • cpper.addr.stable.down error can be observed in EMS log as well.
  • On ifstat -a , the total reported discards are 0.
  • The packet traces taken on source and destination (Intercluster LIFs) during the transfer show a high packet loss.
  • On the same peering, some relationships are updating as expected.
  • Large transfers can succeed after several retries.
