  • Any FAS system with HDDs
  • ONTAP 9.7, 9.8P5 or 9.9.1P1 or older
  • SnapMirror

Issue

  • Slow SnapMirror initialization is seen
  • Poor throughput is seen, especially after hours into the transfer
  • The transfer may take hours or days

Example: An initiated Snapmirror from an on-prem FAS to AWS transfers only 3.7 TB in 30 hours
