  • Yes, it is safe to delete the unnecessary baseline snapshot on the destination side after the SnapMirror transfer is complete.
  • Please refer to the following precautions:
  • Confirm the end of the SnapMirror phase:
    • Ensure that the SnapMirror relationship has already been broken and deleted.
    • Confirm that the volume is being used in production (Read/Write).
  • Deletion Procedure:
    • When deleting the snapshot transferred by SnapMirror, ensure that the data within the volume has been deleted via NFS and that the data is no longer needed.
    • Follow the standard snapshot deletion procedure to delete the snapshot.
  • Precautions:
    • Be careful when deleting snapshots.
    • Deleted snapshots cannot be restored, so make sure they do not contain any necessary data.
