Is it possible to recreate the SnapMirror sync relationship with the same destination

Answer

  • When the Snapshots are still in place and they are common between the source and destination volumes, you can use the SnapMirror resync command
  • When Snapshots are deleted and no common Snapshots are available you can't reuse the same destination volume, you will need to delete the old destination volume and re-create it as a DP volume
