Is it disruptive to enable data access on the destination of an SVMDR?

Answer

Before activating the destination vserver the status of the source vserver needs to be confirmed:

  • The Source vserver is offline or failed: Activating the destination vserver is non-disruptive
  • The Source vserver is online/ serving data: Activating the destination vserver can be disruptive if it uses the same network settings as the source
