Description

  • Goal: Change volume sizes.
  • Context:
    • Vol01 (NFS) shrink: 25 TB to 10 TB.
    • Vol02 (CIFS) expand: 37 TB to 52 TB.
    • Both volumes are SnapMirror sources.
  • Key behavior:
    • Expansion: Destination must be expanded to be equal to or larger than the source to avoid SnapMirror update failures.
    • Shrink: Destination shrink is optional; perform only if used size is below the planned new size.
