Description

This KB article outlines the common causes for the snapshot delete command to fail

  1. Review the error after running snapshot delete and select the solution that matches
    • Snapshot copy is currently used as a reference Snapshot copy by one or more SnapMirror relationships
    • Snapshot is in use
    • Snapshot copy has not expired or is locked
    • Cannot delete a Snapshot copy in use by a clone volume
    • This operation is not permitted on a Vserver that is configured as the destination for Vserver DR
