Why does OnCommand System Manager not offer seconds, minutes or hours for volume SnapLock retention period settings?

Answer

  • OnCommand System Manager only offers days, months and years for the retention settings of an SnapLock volume
  • Seconds minutes or hours are considered as too short for SnapLock retention period  
  • If needed seconds minutes or hours can be set via clustershell command
