TSM snapdiff backup failed after renewal of the certificate

Issue

  • After SSL certificate renewal on ONTAP, the SnapDiff backups started failing with below errors:
Error or Issues Explanation Remediation
06/20/2024 02:00:27 ANS2832E Incremental by snapshot difference failed for \\db.com\vol-name$. See the error log for details.
06/20/2024 02:00:28 ANS1228E Sending of object '\\db.com\vol-name$' failed.
06/20/2024 02:00:28 ANS5283E The operation was unsuccessful.
06/20/2024 02:00:28 ANS1512E Scheduled event 'sched' failed. Return code = 12
  • After renewal no API calls seen in the Audit-M.log in autosupport for snapdiff backup
