Issue

  1. Rubrik backup jobs fail due to missing base snapshots for volumes on the cluster.
  2. Rubrik is unable to find the required base snapshots on multiple volumes, resulting in errors and fallback to regular (less efficient) backup methods.
    Rubrik error message:
    Unable to perform 'NETAPP' 'SnapDiffV2' metadata scan for NAS object ... Falling back to regular metadata scan.
    Internal error. ... Error: NetApp API startup failed, cbfunc returned 71: ...Error message: BaseSnapshot not found.

    ONTAP AUDIT logs:
