NDMP connection to host failed

Issue

  • NDMP backup is failing with following error in CommVault:

Error Code: [39:7] Description: NDMP connection to host [netapp-prod-cluster] failed. Please verify the NDMP Server can be reached on this host using your current IPV4/IPV6 settings on MediaAgent. Source: sydaws01, Process: NasBackup

  • From the Backup logs we see following errors in phase 4:

/SVM_name/Vol_name(1) Log_msg (Write DIRNET for BKP ID=2475, type=3 interrupted while at waiting for max inflight. Error = Broken pipe.
/SVM_name/Vol_name(1) Error (Write to socket failed
/SVM_name/Vol_name(1) Tape_close (ndmp)
/SVM_name/Vol_name(1) Log_msg (Flush DIRNET called on error = -1.
/SVM_name/Vol_name(1) Abort (4245212 MB, 26660 secs, 159 MBps)
/SVM_name/Vol_name(1) Error (DUMP IS ABORTED
