NDMP backup fails with error "DUMP IS ABORTED" when run on qtree/directory level from NetBackup

Issue

  • NDMP backup with NetBackup fails after 8 hours during phase I when run on directory/qtree level for a large volume.
  • /etc/log/backup shows backup is aborted in phase I after 8 hours.

  • NetBackup log shows backup fails after 8 hours with "no mover progress" and status 99.
